Update — September 24, 2026: Keep NI is available for Mac, with a published Chrome extension. The announcement below describes the product before launch on September 22, 2026.
Keep NI was being built for the small website checks that become part of a routine: a price, an availability status, a number on a report.
At that point, the Mac app could save monitors with Steps workflows, collect number and text readings through a configured OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or Ollama model, and record manual or scheduled checks in a local workspace. History showed individual results; Charts made those readings easier to explore over time.
The companion Chrome extension connected to a selected browser profile and provided dedicated-tab page capture. Website sessions stayed in Chrome.
Before the public launch
This historical announcement introduced the development preview. Public Mac installers and a published Chrome extension were not available on September 22.
The website started with a few examples and guides, with plans to expand the documentation as the installation experience developed.
